Growing up in a military family as the oldest of four children, Amber is the text book Type-A personality, or “Little General,” as her family so lovingly calls her. She’s always had an appreciation for the arts, with a family full of musicians and artists, though her talents seemed to lie in wrangling them all up.
She started her career at a boutique PR and Advertising agency, then moved to Carol H Williams Advertising and eventually on to Leo Burnett for 12 years. While at Burnett, she was the business lead for New Product, Digital, Direct Mail, Broadcast and Retail initiatives for several different Altria Brands, Purina Pro Plan, McDonald’s and Kellogg’s Cheez-It.
Outside of the office, she keeps herself busy through community outreach opportunities where she volunteers regularly. She has served on two boards: the Chicago Public Library Foundation Junior Board and the Friends of Chappell Elementary School Board. Most recently, she’s been working with a refugee family – and what an eye opening experience that has been. She recently put down more permanent roots in the Lincoln Square neighborhood of Chicago with her husband, Ahmad, two daughters, Maya and Marleigh, and their new German Shorthaired Pointer, Beta.
