A staple of Three Floyds imbibers, Gumballhead is also a fan favorite of craft beer enthusiasts worldwide. It’s available year-round, which means that the packaging redesign had to be true to the brewery’s wild card spirit and possess a massive shelf presence.
The illustrator, Rob Syers, placed Gumballhead the Cat in a variety of memorable environments: Gumballhead as Cosmonaut, Gumballhead fighting aliens, Gumballhead as Roman Warrior, you get the idea. This is quintessential Three Floyds mayhem, and we are here for it. A torrent of saturated colors in the brightest yellows, blues, reds, and pinks collide with hand-drawn letterforms and a raw, magnetic illustration style.
The result is a packaging solution that assaults the eyeballs in the best way possible, commands longevity, and tumbles headfirst into the possibility of a raucous good time.
